Hey,
I recently upgraded my original MB to one of the new MBP's without a firewire port. I have a standard firewire external harddrive which I would like to use with my new laptop. Is there any adapter which will allow me to plug standard firewire into a USB port? thanks

USB and Firewire are not compatible. Only one company I know of marketing one now and it works only in XP (Vista with a patch). Says it will work in Windows on a Mac, but not OS X. It costs $120 with which you could buy yourself a new 500 GB - 1 TB external USB drive.
