Every time that I try to open a file to edit on Imovie it just won't open them
Avi, mov, flv etc...

can anyone tell me exactly what files actually Imovie can open and edit.

I have mpeg streamclip but sometimes I don't know what to convert the file to because sometimes I end up without sound

Windows movie maker would open almost anything
