A Graphic/Video Card Question

On the original 20" black and grey iMac (that came with Tiger), will the graphic/video card be good enough or games/programs that require:

"Video card: ATI X1600, Nvidia 7300GT or higher"

(- from Apple (United Kingdom) - Games - Articles - Shaun White Snowboarding, and most games have similar needs)

The "original" machine Apple called the iMac was in 1998. There have been over 50 models of the iMac since then.

Most of us around here never touched a Mac until 2, 3, or 4 years ago. Unless you happen to get lucky and someone knows specifically which of those 50+ models you're talking about, you may not get much help.

How about providing a little more info on the one you want to purchase, such as maybe what video card is in it or a link to it.

Erm... OK, they have Intel Core 2 duo chips, and are Generation 4 (in design), with the 'high gloss screen'. I was referring to the 20inch 'base model'. I think they were released in 2007 or '08, I can't remember. If you go into an Apple Store, chances are you'll see the bumped up version of it, but I'm talking about the old one with the ATI graphics card.

Once again, sorry for any confsuison. I was just wondering if this is better then an ATI X1600

I 'think' the first Intel iMac had a X1600 graphics processor however, I don't know if this was an option or standard.

If you go to the Apple menu>About this Mac, click More Info... and click on 'Graphics/Displays' on the left column the type of card present in your iMac will be displayed.

Tell us what it says and we could help you further.

The first of the Intel iMacs did have the X1600.

Apps, the X2400 XT is much better than the X1600, so you'll be fine with the game you've linked.
