Hi,
I'm having trouble at the moment getting my keyboard to work on my macbook. I usually use an external keyboard so I tried it with both the on board one and my external one to check the keyboard isn't faulty. The mouse, which is running through the external keyboard is working though... It's as if there's a setting where you can just turn off the keyboard.
Any help is much appreciated
Danny

Try resetting the PRAM\NVRAM to see if that works. I don't know if you will be able to if the keyboard(s) are dead. Link

You might also want to run the Apple Hardware Test on your machine. Link But again, it requires that you have a working keyboard.

If none of the above works for you or you're unable to use the keyboards at all and your machine is still under warranty, you might consider letting Apple look at it.

Regards.
