4th Generation NANO Charging Problem

I have recently purchased a 4th Gen. Nano and I noticed that it does not charge when I put it in my iHome like my old iPod did. When you plug the Nano into the iHome or Bose dock it says charging is not supported by this accessory.

Anyone know why this is? And how I could fix it?

I've noticed newer ipod models can not charge on most older ipod docks. The only solution i've found to this is to sell the dock, and buy a new one. =/ I have seen one of the newer docks that supports charging for the more current ipod models, and this one is great.
