Hi
I bought an used APPLE 17" MACBOOK PRO 2.33GHZ 4GB RAM 500GB HD (Hitachi). You can check it at APPLE 17" MACBOOK PRO 2.33GHZ 4GB RAM 500GB HD WARRANTY - eBay (item 130310181838 end time Jun-04-09 12:58:18 PDT).
I had try to install Mac OS X 10.5.6 three times and always the installation fails in the same part of the process. The error message says that is not possible to verify how a file was written. Always happens with the Essentials package.
Previously I tried to install tiger many times, and was possible to install it, but many strange things happen. XCode can't be installed, MacTex was no possible to be installed, and sometime, when I install Neooffice or OpenOffice the operating systems crash forcing me to re-install the operating system.
I had try many things but always I had problems when I try to install software (installer just shutdown, the operating system crash totally, the file system is lost, etc.). Even, I had troubles when I run the software updates.
I had reset the PRAM and the SMC.
I really appreciate any help.
Regards,
Sergio Hernandez
