RCA to TV cable

Has anyone tried connecting an RCA camcorder cable (an audio jack with three cables on the other end) to their macbook, or ipod touch to their TV set?

ive heard if u get a generic RCA cable and if u switch the colors, it will work. has anyone experienced this?

I have a macbook 2008 and a 1st gen ipod touch.

If you get the adapter from Apple, you can hook it up via rca or svideo(laptop)

they make a cable to go from ipod touch to tv also

Will this work for the sound as well as the picture? What cord do i need to purchase to connect this to an RCA? since it only has one port, not 3, i'm a little confused.

For audio you will need a cord with the ordinary headphone style plug on one end, and the red and white audio plugs on the other.
