Hi y'all!

Just wanted some opinions here,

do you think trading my Quad Core 64 bit AMD Phenom 2.2 GHz 4mb L2+L3 cache with 4 Gigs of 800 Mhz Ram is a good trade for a Mac Pro G5 1.8 Ghz PowerPC single core with 3 gigs of 400 speed ram ???

-just curious. . .

A lot of the new applications are for intel only. I'm sure the machine will run near flawlessly for you, however you'll find that certain features or applications will be out of your reach.

At this stage in the game stay away from ppc model macs, as they have been using intel chips for a while now... the next operating system will not be supporting pre-intel systems, and a lot of software has already stopped supporting such systems.
