External Hard Drive problems?

Yo, over the past few weeks I have gone to turn my external drive on and it won't power on when I flick the switch. Then I turn the switch off and back on again and it works. Then sometimes while its on It will just shutdown randomly. I don't hear any clicking noises and haven't noticed any lost data.

So what do you think is going on?
