programmatically adding elements to widget in dashcode

Hi,

In Dashcode, how can I programmatically add elements or parts (e.g. a new gauge) to my widget? I was able to duplicate the element using DOM functions like cloneNode, but I guess that does not create the necessary 'objects' that will actually make the gauge useful.
