The first pic is of Whiteface Mountain off Route 86 between Jay and Wilmington. I live about half a mile from where that was taken, and that view is right outside my front window. I can't place the second one, as that could be anywhere in the ADKs.

lucky you. I would love to live inside the ADK park. I live near Utica, so to get near Lake Placid is about a 4-5 hour drive.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

ADKHiker, thats very cool! The second one was taken at The Candyman in Wilmington actually. We decided to go there. Ever hear of Keeseville? We have a little place outside there, by the beach.

Switched, I shot with a Canon SD100 something.

Haha, yeah, I have heard of Keeseville. All I have to say is be very careful around there, it is about the worst place in the area to be. A lot of very rotten people, lots of crime, vandalism, people getting jumped and beaten for no apparent reason, lots of really bad drugs. The town has it's own gang which goes around vandalizing cars, houses, and beating up anyone on the streets. It's like all the other towns in the area kicked out all their criminals and drug dealers, etc, and they all moved to Keeseville. Anyone who lives here knows it's a place to avoid at all costs.

Then again, Port Kent and Port Douglas are very nice places, although close to "K-city". You just have to drive 25 miles to Plattsburgh just to go to a store, to avoid going anywhere near downtown Keeseville.
