Hello. My programming knowledge is a bit limited (I've taken freshman level courses in college), but I want to (try to) edit an open source program called itheater for my own use. I've never really programed on a mac before, either (applescript is about it)...so I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions.

I'm looking to duplicate a module, edit it slightly, and add it to the interface. I went into the applications contents folder, found the module's file and duplicated it, but I can't figure out how to edit it, or how to put it into the interface or preferance panel. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

You can edit the file in TextEdit or the Xcode editor.

It sounds like you are editing a code file so you'll need Xcode installed to compile it.

Since I don't know anything about that application, I don't know about the preference panel stuff.
