I have a Macbook and an iMac. Can I use my Seagate Freeagent Go external hard drive to backup both computers using Time Machine? Or will it completely rewrite over one computer?
Thanks

Sure. Just separate the drive into two partitions, one for the iMac and one for the MacBook.

Don't even need to partition it. I use a single volume with Time Machine from two machines and keep a separate copy of my movie and music folders on it.

Unlike other backup apps, it does not require it's own partition.
