Maybe a silly question but..

I have the Imac 7,1 aluminium 20" (mid 2007) Now I wish to upgrade my RAM. I live in Mexico and am trying the local computer hardware store for the RAM upgrade. Apple stores are way to expensive $50 for 1 GB.

I have checked all the info I can and from what I can see the Ram itself would make no difference whether the IMAC was made for the Mexican or USA market. Can anybody correct me if I am wrong please.

Well, aside from getting it from a good vendor (not all memory modules are of equal quality), it probably uses standard PC2-5300 modules.

I have 2GB (1GB x 2) of DDR2 200 pin PC2-5300 RAM I wouldn't mind parting with. It's the original RAM that come from Apple with my white Santa Rosa MacBook. I don't use it because I upgraded to 4GB.
