I need help!! I deleted for accident a file called lookupd from the folder usr. When reboot osx it aske me for a pass, but never had one.
I try different ways to login, restarting from the disc 1 intallation disc, changing my user pass, from the terminal to create a new user, with a new pass using these commands.
/sbin/mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone
None one gave me results, I hope your answer. MAC OS V10.4 Tiger
greetings

Oops. Clean install time I fear. As far as I know there's no way of getting this back without doing so.
Archive and Install may still work, so hopefully you have some backups of other stuff.

Pass, no idea, but doubtful. Messing in terminal could make things worse.
