I was hoping to get some help on what software might be good for me to use in order to improve my audio mixes. I'm not looking for anything complicated. I don't need a turntable interface to "scratch" or anything complex. I make a lot of mixes for friends via iTunes, and I'm just trying to improve the way they sound. Specifically, I'd like to be able to fade in/out of songs and overlay beats. It's something I would think iTunes would offer but it doesn't.

Let me know if you have suggestions.

I have yet to use it, but give Audacity a try. It's free and others have recommended to me.

Use garageband. It is a very simple and easy-to-use application, at least as far as audio mixing and editing goes. Plus you can find many tutorials online, or even ask a question here if necessary.

Best of luck
