Rollovers

Just curious if this would be worth the time and effort.

I have a pretty big widescreen monitor that I view MFs on, and I usually always check the number of replies before clicking on the post. When my eyes move across the screen, I can never tell what post I'm looking at. My eyes get off-line when ever I look at the other side.

I wondered if it was possible to add a small gray (or whatever color) rollover effect that would light up the background of each new thread, giving it somewhat of a highlight color. I'm not sure if you know what I mean but I think it would be good addition to the site.

If not and you all think this idea completely stinks, that's fine too. :)

Yea, we do have this when looking at the listing for all the different forum categories (http://www.mac-forums.com/forums). I would just to have the same function inside the forums when viewing different threads.

Thanks for the added support, TS!

I don't notice any "background" lighting when observing the main forum. I think I know what you mean, but I don't see the example you're pointing out...

Am guessing you're using Firefox.

The highlight they're referring to only does it in Safari and Opera.
Does not do it in Firefox or Camino.
At least in the versions I'm currently using.

I like the highlight also, but not if it would affect the thread preview popup.

Ah, I am running FF 3.5. Will have to check out this "highlighting" in Opera...

Yea I'm running on Safari. I didn't even think about checking out different browsers.
