I meant people have already voiced their anger over the decision when this first came to light.

I am not angry in the least. It had to happen and unlike windows that keeps supporting old hardware, with Snow Leopard it will be much faster and much smaller with all that Power PC code done away with.

Leopard is still around and will be supported for a long time to come for the Power PC users. I even still get updates to 10.4 Tiger.

Hello. I am bit new to the Mac World, but how can I check if my MacBook hardware qualifies for Snow Leopard. Do I go to System Preferences portion?

It does. All MacBooks will qualify.

Any Macbook will run Snow Leopard. The main requirements are an Intel CPU.
