I recently noticed that I get hiccups and stutters when watching HD videos. Sometimes it just freezes for a moment, other times the same frame stays for a few second. The audio seems fine.
This problem has only appeared a few days ago and I can't recall installing/doing anything to my system, let alone anything affecting video playback performance.
I've even seen some stutters during non-HD videos, but those are very rare.
The videos are in mkv-format and I'm using the latest VLC player. I've tried turning off WiFi and closing all unnecessary programs while watching, but to no avail.
Any suggestions?
