In workgroup manager, I currently have a whole lab of MACs (running tiger) set to shut down at a certain time. When they shut down, they prompt the user with a message telling them that they are scheduled to shut down and giving them the option to continue working without shutting down. Is there a way to disable this notification and force the shut down rather the user wants to continue working or not?

I would think rather than suppress the dialog box you would issue the force shutdown command.

In the GUI it is ctrl+opt++eject

I guess you could script it as a cron job on all Macs or issue it via SSH from a server or central Mac.

Download this app to set the script to run....

CronniX

In the command portion you specify what to run at the time determined above.

To determine the command, open Terminal.app and type in man shutdown to discover the syntax and use of the shutdown command. Kinda like help /? in Windows.
