I'm a complete "newbie" to the MAC world. I have a macbook G4 w/a puny 80GB internal hard drive. My iTunes music collection on my iPod is in the neighborhood of 24GB. My photo collection is over 54GB. There's barely room to have the OS.

So, I have been "googling" macbook hard drives and drives in general. Most sites that show macbook drives list a 500GB as the ultimate. However, on BzBoyz web site, they list a 1 TB by both Hitachi and Seagate. Also a 1.5 TB. I think they are 3.5 hard drives, SATA II.

What drive format is the macbook G4. Is it a smaller drive? SATA I or II? i.e. what are the specs I need to make sure of in ordering a hard drive. I've been doing this for over 40 years as a PC geek, but this is my first foray into macdom.

Please help.
