iMac no boot

So my mom was watching a movie, her mouse came unpluged she pluged it in and opend dashboard on accident, then it all froze so she held the power button now i try to turn it on and it goes gray apple then the circle with a line through it thing and some times a folder with a ? on it flashes? whats up??
