Hi, I recently bought an Airport Extreme and it's not giving the range I had hoped for. The airport is connected to ADSL through a Netgear 834G (wireless). I have 2 separate wireless networks running, the Netgear b/g on channel 12, the Airport n on channel 2, 2.4GHz.
What's confusing me is that the Netgear (g) signal travels further than the Airport
. Both devices are sat on a table in the same room. Any ideas why the Netgear is giving better performance?
As an addition, what I would really like is to run the 2 linked wirelessly using WDS to boost the range as far as possible. After spending a couple of evenings trying everything I could think of/research to get this going, I've given up. Has anybody managed to get this combination working?
