Hi folks,
Last night I decided to change my user name from the generic 'appleuser' that my Mac came with to 'Sara' - my name. I changed it by clicking 'rename' on the little house picture in the finder window.
Now when I log in, all of my settings and favourites and desktop stuff has disappeared. It's the same whether I login as Sara or appleuser. I can do both with the same password.
When I look in the hard drive under Users I can see Sara and all my files. But it's like I accidentally wiped all of the computer's ability to recognise me and log me in.
I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to computer things. So if you know how I can fix this, please tell me in small words.
Ta
