My only complaint is the extra background sounds. It's a little annoying. Otherwise it's a nice vid.

You should talk more...kind of weird with dead silence....

I think with the improvements the vid deserves a sticky. ^-^"

Hmmm.... Maybe I could play some music in the background. What would you like? Lol

You probably could throw something together with iMovie.

It's much improved.

You have nice hands by the way. >_>" Sorry if that sounds weird, you can probably be a hand model.

Ha ha - I hate my hands - they are very veiny!

Glad you like - I hope other people who would not attempt something like this will do after watching the vid, because the procedure is very easy.

Ha ha, you will be fine!

A nice cheap upgrade. An 8GB upgrade is far from cheap though! lol

When you ordered your new drive, did it come with the metal "plate" on it? I'm ordering one from Newegg that says "bare drive" and am wondering if this means I need to take the metal sleeve off the other and put it on the new one?

Also, if you DID have to do this, were you able to put the old HDD in an enclosure minus the sleeve?

Sorry, I could be way off in what I am asking because I have never done this before. Sorry for the non-technical terms.

No 'plate' came with the drive.

You do not need any enclosure - just bare drive with added mounting screws.

Just be sure that when you get your new 2.5" SATA Hard drive you check the speed, the newer MBs and MBPs use a 3.0Gb/s drive while the older ones, like my Mid-2007 MB use a 1.5Gb/s drive.

True, most new drives (Inc the wd and seagate models) are 3Gbps.
