I have an Imac and I am trying to sell it. I would love to put the 250GB hard drive from my imac into my macbook pro. Is that possible? Are they the same size and what not that it would work?

It is an intel based imac and the older style macbook pro 2.2 core 2 duo.

Your Mac's Specs
21" iMac * 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7 * 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 * 1TB HD *AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
I believe they are different sizes. When I went shopping for a new HD for my MBP, I had a desktop HD in my hands when the sales guy told me I needed a different one.

Your Mac's Specs

I would imagine that your desktop would have a 3.5" HDD. Your MBP will need a 2.5" SATA drive.
