Every time I try to move a file, it freezes. I need to delete come stuff from my trash because I am running low on space on my HDD. I am on an iBook G4, 1.07 GHz PPC processor, 1.25 GB RAM. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.11. Can anyone help me?

How are you trying to move the file and where to? What happens if you log in as another User - can u delete files in that User.

I only have one user account on my computer. And I should also add that now, it freezes when the desktop comes up even if I don't move anything. Basically I turn it on, log in, desktop comes up, like it normally would, but freezes and the beach ball thing comes up.

Also, I'm trying to move it to the trash, and then delete it from the trash.
