Installing 10.6 on a partition

I want to test the snow leopard, can I install it on a Guest account on my Mac Book Pro 15" running OSX 10.5.6 ?

I'm going to assume you have a legitimate developer's preview of SL. If you do, you should know the answer to this question.

No, you can't install it into a Guest account - this doesn't make sense. An OS is not like a traditional program. The install procedure, I imagine, is much like Leopard's.

Partition your hard drive with Disk Utility and install your developer copy of SL to the new partition. You can then use something like rEFIt to dual boot both operation systems. Even better might be to install SL to an external hard drive and test it that way.
