i bought an HDTV cause it was a deal and decided i wanted to watch shows from my macbook on the LDC screen, cause its bigger. i just got the MiniDVI to HDMI adn it works real well, except for i cant figure out how to get the LDC in full screen and still be able to do things on my macbook screen? is there a setting for that...

If you mean watch a movie on the TV while browsing the internet on your Mac (as an example) -
Open up System Preferences - Displays- and uncheck mirrored mode.
Then drag whichever app it is you want to the TV screen.
