Hi All

I am new to the forum and to macs, so please bear with me.

I have a windows pc running Vista and a Samsung CLP-315w wireless printer, a BT 2Wire Wireless Router and I have just brought an imac.

My imac has connected to my wireless network with no problems and I can access the internet.

It has found my Samsung printer but will not print to it.

It keeps giving me the following message

SPL-C ERROR - Please use the proper driver
POSITION: 0x0 (0)
SYSTEM: src/xl_image
LINE: 606
VERSION: SPL-C-5.35 11-20-2007

The printer is not connected to any pc, but is a true wireless printer. My windows pc prints to it fine.

Can anyone please advise me as to how I can get my imac to print to it.

I have ticked the "Share" box for the printer.

Do I need to add anymore equipment to the network?

Thank you in advance to all who take the time to respond

The printer is advertised as compatible with OS X. Do you have a software disk that came with the printer? There should be drivers for OS X included and instructions on how to set it up wireless.

If you install the OS X driver it will probably show two printers: One that connects via USB cable and the other that connects wireless. The wireless version will show the MAC address of the printer.

Regards.
