I bought a late model 12" Ibook G3, 900mhz for $140.
Im getting a new battery but it seems to have one from a 14" model, same make ibook. Label says 8416, 14.4 volts and 4400mah which matches the battery for a 14" ibook. My 12" battery that i should buy have a lover volt rating and mah level as well & different model number.
My ibook works fine except for the low battery life so my question is can i order an apple battery of the same existing number that in there and will it be correct? I know there are different 'model' numbers of the same make (ie- 8416a or 8416r) battery so if anyone has any insite on that issue, thanks. I just want to order the 14.4 volt/larger mah rating thats correct for my ibook. Make sense?
