Problems with Import feature on iMovie

Hi everybody

I have problems with importing movies to iMovie. When I'm importing a movie file to the applictions it seems that the movie is importing but i cannot see the movie slices on the event library. I cheked if the movies are located at the iMovie project library and there are but i cannot see the on iMovie . can somone please help with this issue?
