Need some advice, OSX Snow Leopard Join to domain

One of our bosses wants to purchase a Macbook Air so he can take it to client sites as many of them have Mac's, what he wanted to know is, can he connect the Air to our office network, which currently runs on SBS 2003 R2 (maybe SBS 2008 in the future) and we would like to know if we can join out office domain? is so how?

Also he uses XP on his current older laptop, would it be possible to run XP/Vista on his Macbook Air to, like in a Virtual environment?

Don't know the answer to the first question but the answer to the second question is yes. You can run any Windows flavor in a virtual machine under OSX using VM Ware Fusion, Parallels Desktop or VirtualBox. There is lots of info on the forum about all 3. Works great, although virtual machines don't have access to full hardware graphics capability - but for productivity applications it is seamless.

He can also run Windows via the Bootcamp.app which comes with the OS X operating system. For a corded connection to any network, you will need an external ethernet "dongle" for the Air (not included with the Air). If not, the Air has built in WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity.

Join a domain

Yes, it is possible for Mac OS X to join a Domain. Use the \Application\Utilities\Directory Utility, select Servcies, and enable 'Active Directory', enter a valid computer name in box and click on 'Bind' to join the domain using a domain account (see a domain admin) with rights to join a computer to the domain.
