I am trying to install my Adobe CS4 package on my Macbook, and I got as far as the second cd when it closed out the setup process. So I tried to drag all Adobe apps to trash and reinstall, but I keep getting an error when I put the first cd in and attempt again.

I installed it on my iMac a few months ago with no problems at all.

Any thoughts/advice? (Thanks in advance!)

This is the error message:
"Critical errors were found in setup for Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium:

undefined
The installer database is invalid: please re-install the product from the original media"

I also tried he Adobe Installers in the Utilities to uninstall, and the same error pops up again. Ugh!

Try this script from Adobe to clean up your botched uninstallation.

I guess my biggest problem is that it won't uninstall the program in the first place. :-/ I tried to run that script, but without it uninstalled it won't help me.
