I have a 19 month old white Macbook which I've had countless problems with (case cracking, magsafe melting and catching on fire.. etc etc) and now my super drive melted/warped inward.
I didn't drop it/travel with it/whatever, 98% of the time it's sitting on my desk hooked up to a monitor. I only disconnect it if I'm going on a trip, which is like once or twice a year if that. I have NO idea what caused it, I just went to bring it somewhere one day and noticed it warped in.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Now I (stupidily) didn't buy the extended warranty, is there any chance Apple would fix this without me having to pay alot of $$$? I know it's most likely too much to ask for, but I can hope, right? :Blushing:
Here's a few pictures of the superdrive..
