Hi!
I was trying to do the 3.0 update and needed to update iTunes to 8.2.

Now I am not able to do anything.

Anyone able to help? Not quite sure where to go for Apple tech support.

Thanks!!

are you using PC or Mac?

If on a Mac, redownload iTunes 8.2 and reinstall it

If on a PC, remove iTunes, Quicktime and the MobileMe Control Panel completely. Restart the computer, and reinstall all three. Reboot once more, then try the sync again.

I open up iTunes and a message error 2005 pops up saying there is an error with my iPhone. When i finally get rid of that error, I try to get the new iPhone OS 3.0 update and as soon as i click it...error 13 pops up. I need some help please!

Error Code (2005)

This seems to be a code indicating poor USB connection.
I went to the Mac site and they suggested to use a different USB port. Preferrably "On Board" and I did.
Everything works great now.
Good Luck

it was the usb port

Thanks for the tip on switching usb ports, it worked now. This is the second time I've had to restore after attempting an iPhone software update. Ugh. Maybe I'll remember to use the usb port on the right side of my MBPro next time instead of the one on the left :(
