'm a self taught techie and good with windows decent with Linux but completely new to macs. all i know is the os is unix based so it's decently secure compared to windows.
But i am the goto guy with computers and breakdowns amongst friends and fimally so i find myself here, thanks ahead of time for the help.

My friend sends me the attached pictures and says as far as she can tell it everything else is seems to be normal and it is NOT making any strange noises.

She has tried a reset and says it was working for a short time normally before again breaking down.
leading me to suspect it being an overheating issue, but I've never heard of macs having problems like this.
I am going to suggest she try a hard reset and to try a ubuntu boot disk to see if it is a hardware or driver issue. if it's hardware the run with linux should have the same problem if it's just drivers she can do whatever update manager is used on macs to update them.

But again i am not a mac expert by any means if anyone has any idea what this problem is and how to fix it i would greatly appreciate it.

Please let me know.
Thanks in advance
