Os 3.0

I didn't have the ability to obtain a 3.0 beta, and will have to wait for till Wednesday like most folks. My question is this however, what time of day on the 17th will it be available in Itunes? The reason I am asking is that if its available at 11:59 Tuesday night, I would do it then because the 2.0 upgrade was a disaster. So many people were trying to upgrade at the same time and it slowed down the server. I want to avoid the rush by getting it as soon as its released.

If we all knew what time it was released, you wouldn't be beating everyone by getting it when it became available because everyone would be trying to get it then. AFAIK, there is not set time for the upgrade.

I think part of the problem last time was the new phone was offered at the same time, and had to be activated through iTunes, now that they are offering the new phone 2 days later I think the servers will be better this go around. Just my 2 cents though

I really hope it gets released at midnight. I'm staying up late (not usually a night owl) in hopes that they do. Call me a junkie. :)

Some people have been saying it's going to be released at midnight...but even within those people I can't find two of them that agree on midnight in which time zone.

If I thought it'd be out at midnight UK time I'd wait up. As it is, I'll be up at 0630 Wednesday my time so I'll just plug in and check then.

No. Wait until tomorrow when you wake up. No need to get it right away (assuming it is even out at 12:01 EST considering Apple is in California).

If it comes out midnight EST or PST, then I'll get it then. Otherwise I'll just wait until after I get home from work. Regardless, I'll have it before the end of Wednesday :)

Well looks like it was neither 12AM EST nor 12AM PST.

Going by previous updates it looks like it's going to be up sometime in the evening.

Kash, I have an iPhone 3g. Since I know you are quite informed about things apple, if I install 3.0 and for some reason on my 3g don't like something, have you heard if there will be a way to revert back to 2.2.1? Just curious if you have heard anything.

It's 2:21 AM in california. People at Apple are sleeping like I will soon be and should be now. Today has not even really begun here in California. Give it time.

Trust me, I am just as anxious as any of you are to try it on my iPhone 3g, but will wait till it gets released. I am sure it will be sometime in the next 20 hours.

Its now 0300hrs in Cupertino, and its not been released yet. I guess I'll have to check again after work, as I'm about to leave for work now.

I hope its available within the next 7 hours or its going to be the 18th for me.

Its 1700hrs here, 17th June.
