HELP!!!

An annoying locked file has been copied to my desktop by mistake from an infected USB key.

The files is Cn911.exe...although probably harmless to the MAC, it's IMPOSSIBLE to TRASH!

I've tried terminal removal, Shift+option trashing, nothing works!!!

HELP!!!

Thanks!

thanks for prompt response...wish it was that easy...it says:

"The operation cannot be completed because the item Cn911.exe is locked"

so I've tried to move it into an empty folder on desktop, deleted the folder, works fine, but now the trashbin is also infected and cannot be emptied either --

tried using the shift+option delete as well, works for other locked files, but this SOB is impossible to delete...some USB key was infected and now it's just sitting there on my desktop!!

aRGH!!!!

I just saw your post and was going to suggest what you found worked. Good job! I have had your issue a lot with some Windows .exe files. That method always works for me with those files.
