Which OS X For An iMac G4?

Hi All,

I have an old iMac G4 15" screen that I formatted back to OS X 10.0 by accident and can't find any software to work with it correctly. Which OS should I buy for this mac since I know that OS X 10.5 will not work correctly.

I was thinking 10.3, but where is the best place to purchase older Operating Systems?

You could run Tiger, but it was a tad slow on my 8oo mhz 17" G4. Panther would be ideal. Ebay is your best bet really, be sure to get a retail copy though, or machine specific ones (but you need to be careful and get exactly the right ones)

What is the speed of your G4 and how much RAM do you have?

Tiger might run okay depending on your specs and on your needs. What do you do with your Mac?
