External Harddrive is read only!

Hi,

I have just bought a mac computer and use a Lacie External USB Harddrive at work for all my files. The usb harddrive works fine on windows pc's and is readable on the mac.... but I can not edit, save or add any documents to the drive.

I went to the harddrive properties/ information and it said it is a windows NT - NTFS File system.

How do I get this usb drive to write as well as read on my mac!!!!?
