I have a 13" MBP with a 250GB HDD that only has 22GB free. All of the data on my MBP is iLife based, iPhoto (13GB), iTunes (152GB), etc. To free up space the easiest thing for me to do it archive the Video's that I really don't watch anymore from my MBP to an External HDD.
But it got me thinking, does anyone know of a Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) Solution for Macs for home use?
I would love to use this on my Music, Photos, and Movies folders. If a file has not been access in 6 months, move it to to external HDD and when I goto access it, move it back onto my internal HDD.
