When downloading the restore for Ipod Touch

I clicked restore and it started to download software for the Ipod. I canceled the download about halfway through and unplugged my Ipod Touch. I did this because i realized i didn't need to restore it. My Ipod touch has no files on it from the half finished download does it?

will my Ipod Touch still work how it did before i did this?

Please can someone answer this? I'm worried about it i've started to download the restore a couple more times but canceled it again lol.
