Can you run Windows with Parallels on an external hard drive so i can save space on my internal hard drive?

That's an interesting question. 
In normal circumstances, Windows will not install on an external drive and I suspect it may balk even when doing it from Parallels on an external drive. I guess the only way to find out if it will work is to try it.
