iPhone 3Gs - Contract Question

Hi! I have a contract with ATnT that I renewed about four months ago. I have a Sony phone at the moment. I was trying to pre-order the iPhone 3Gs today but it was keep telling me the phone is for $399 instead of the $199. Can somebody please explain why is that? If I get the iPhone do I need to renew my contract again?

thats how much it is for exsisting att customers still under contract and yes you will renew your 2yr contract
