Why can I access a site from Firefox and not Safari ?

I am trying to divorce myself from Firefox and move to Safari which seems to be faster and altogether more stable than FF these days and am checking out all sites I regularly access to ensure no isses

There is one online forum which I am getting access violations for yet when I sign on with same userid / password from Firefox I get in every time

I have mailed the tech support for the site for ideas but was looking for others ?
