I actually don't want ANYTHING to open, how do I remove the asociated programs for the iPod..

This seems to happen to me also, but its because you may have saved images from the web onto your ipod at some point so iPHOTO opens automatically allowing you to transfer them to your MAC if you want to....

Well the first time I cnnected my ipod I accidentally told iphoto to sync or open my stuff or something dumb like that.
I'm totally about to uninstall iphoto.
