I know! No one was injured thankfully.. However VIA Rail trains run down the same tracks (I think), which are passenger trains.

So yeah, I'm thankful no one was hurt.

Wow I'm glad that no one was hurt at all for that. Also glad that only one car caught fire.

I heard about it through CTV news. I didn't think the problem was so extensive. I've got family around the area so it's nice to hear that no one was hurt (even if I didn't have family there it's still good to hear).

Yeah for sure.. It was just weird.. Out of the blue kinda thing.

One minute I'm on the phone with a customer explaining their bill, then the next customer was asking me about it.

That was in a span of less than 5 minutes.

It's kind of creepy knowing this after having taken the train home from Queen's in Kingston to Toronto a few times a year the last four years.

Pretty scary.


I've been an avid train fan since I was born, and let me say that I have never really feared a derailment. I jump on moving trains alot, and that would really suck to be on one the derails :p
