i have a white macbook (one of the first generations i think, 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo and only 512 mb in RAM) and i just bought a Linksys N-router.

when i open system profiler for the airport card:

Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x168C, 0x86)
Wireless Card Locale: Worldwide
Wireless Card Firmware Version: 1.4.4
Current Wireless Network: default
Wireless Channel: 6

can anyone tell me if i can get N speeds with my airport card?

thanks so much :)

The Core Duos all had G chips. It wasn't until the Core 2 Duo models that the Macbooks came with N.
