I have seen on my old 1GHZ 17" Powerbook it says '1MB L3 Cache' under the processor speed, and on my new one it has only 512K of L2 Cache, what it cache? Does it matter my new one has less? thanks

Your new one doesn't have "less" cache because they are at different levels. Cache sort of like "ram" for the processor, I guess....it just makes it run smoother. Somebody care to give a more technical explanation?

Cache - where information is stored before it goes to the processor
Ram - where commonly accessed info is stored for quicker reference

As far as the different levels Id be curious to know about that myself...

/me runs off to google...
